Ethan McGarry - Multi-disciplinary Artist

Ethan Mc Garry is a multi disciplinary artist based in Dublin, Ireland. He is currently studying on a joint degree in Fine art Media and critical cultures at the National College of Art & Design Dublin.

His work experiments with a range of media including video, photography, printing, drawing, installation, audio, sculpture, building a wide body of skills to call upon in order to convey his theme in the most appropriate medium.

 

His practice generally deals with emotions and feelings of modern life, he expresses internal thinking visually in an attempt to further understand the past and present while navigating the future, finding inspiration in noticing the little things that surround the everyday.

 

His current work in progress is a follow on from work shown in an open studio in December 21, entitled “Leikhús”, he intends to continue exploring collaboration while addressing themes of longing and belonging within the context of the future, his focus for this year is exhibiting, with plans of showing in A4 sounds and a public exhibition.
